Oh, hello there! Miss me? If you’ve been a follower of this blog before, I would like to let you know that I don’t blog much on this site anymore.
The truth is I feel bad when I think of the negligence and inconsistencies. It all started when I encountered some technical difficulties on this site. Even if my issue was resolved, my search ranking declined. I also moved on and focused on my travel blog (which I rarely update these days too).
Staycation, please.
Reviving one of my original blogs would be nice, but I think I outgrew it. I am just keeping this up for sentimental reasons. You know, there are days when I would read entries I wrote six years ago and analyze where I am now at present time and if I still have the same sentiments or opinions about certain topics. Some things that matter to me years back might not be a big deal to me anymore.
Just to keep those who are not on the loop updated, I don’t travel or blog as I used to. Right now, I am concentrating on my other dream and that is filmmaking.
I am working on a documentary now and about to make a feature narrative film soon. At the same time, I am still employed. Traveling from Dagupan to Pasay on a weekly basis is not really considered ‘traveling’. It is more of a commute for work. Probably that is the reason why I am feeling so anxious and tired most of the time.

I NEED A VACATION. But hey, I think what I need more is a staycation!
I need a staycation not in the Philippines, but in a different country. Perhaps in India? I should be searching for hotels in Shimla or a resort somewhere in Wayanad.
If that is not possible for now, I will just do a literal ‘Netflix and Chill’ thing and watch travel-related movies. Or some Bollywood films with the grand item numbers. Or maybe I should just go and look for someone to love and let him decide? LOL.
What I miss about media famtrips and press trips is the opportunity to stay in some hotels and resorts. I guess every Taurean will agree with that statement since a staycation means you get to stay in a place where you can just relax, eat good food, sleep a lot, eat again, swim in the pool, lounge in the lobby while listening to bossanova music, eat again or order coffee and so on and so forth. Gone are the days when I am so eager to do all the touristy, adventurous things. I just want to be a certified auntie and chill like a queen! 😛 And when I’m not poolside or coffee in hand, I love unwinding with a little entertainment at mpo888 because chilling should always come with a side of fun.
What’s the point of this post? I don’t know. I am stressed at the moment and I just want to blog here for a change… or maybe I just miss this blog? This is supposedly my personal blog but like what I said earlier, I kind of moved on already.

There are many souks (traditional street markets) in the downtown area of the city, selling goods such as spices, textiles and fish. However the most amazing is probably the gold souk. With every trader competing to offer the most glittering display, it feels like walking through a true Aladdin’s cave of treasures. Arab countries have a well-known tradition of bartering, and nowhere is this more in evidence than in the gold souk of Dubai. If you are used to paying the price on the label, it can feel strange at first to come in with a lower offer, but soon you will get used to it and be bargaining with the best of them.
Jumeirah Mosque
Alongside the wealth and hedonism, Dubai has a fascinating culture that’s crying out to be explored. The beautiful Jumeirah Mosque is a good place to start. They operate an open-doors policy meaning you don’t have to be Muslim to go inside, though modest dress is recommended. Combining the 75 minute tour with a meal hosted by an Emirati guide is a superb way to get to know more about how Dubai has preserved its traditions amidst the boom of the past decade.
I’ve heard that statement a lot of times. From my family, friends and those sincerely care about me. I am back here in Bangkok. It is my 11th day outside the Philippines and I am now exploring the city on my own. I am bound to go on a long trip somewhere in Thailand later and I am not even sure why I am so determined even if I only have enough money here. As in sakto lang for meals and minimal expenses.
I want to explore some parts of Thailand while I still can but I also do miss the company of my friends who are now in Siem Reap. It’s just that I feel the need to move and start doing things on my own.
Dolphins are fascinating creatures. They’re mammals in fish form. If you’ve watched movies like Flipper, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Incredible Mr. Limpet, among other Hollywood films that feature the beloved dolphin, you’ve probably developed a delight and fascination for these marine mammals by now. Dolphins are intelligent, playful, they love being around and interacting with humans, and they also look adorable.

So the three of us went there without concrete plans at all. I can say that among my trips, this is the first time ever wherein we only booked for a hotel room hours before our flight, we didn’t have any itinerary (all we know is that the Underground River is located there LOL!) and we simply want it to be spontaneous. No plans, no whatevers.

It is my second time to go to Davao City. Last April 30, Ada, Cai and I met up to take the earliest flight to bound for Davao via ZestAir. We arrived in the Davao International Airport at 6AM and we went straight to Viajeros Inn for our early breakfast. Our sleepyheads went to our temporary room after eating 😛
