Rainy Days

Oh, hello!

Rainy Days are here again. I am stuck at home and since I have nothing urgent to do, I find myself revisiting my blogs and wonder what really happened? Why did I stop blogging regularly?

To be fair, most of my contemporaries in personal blogging are no longer active. The very few ones either treat it now as a business or they simply want to document their lives the old school way (don’t fellow sentimental fools feel the same way?). I aspire to do a mix of both, but I guess the self-inflicted pressure caused me to do nothing at all.

Just like in what I revealed in my supposed ‘comeback post‘ on my other blog, I wasn’t completely unproductive. I am now writing for TV in almost a daily basis and I also do morning pages. Since those two are main priorities now for to make a living and to organize my thoughts / emotions, blogging took a backseat. I had a lot of plans and I am once again stressing myself out if I should still write about the other things I’m passionate about, trips I took and so on. I am even thinking of starting a new blogging project but I dunno.

Saving Up for 2025: The BTS Reunion Comeback Plan

2025 is a highly-anticipated year for BTS ARMY. It is the year when most likely, all the members of BTS have already completed their military duties and hopefully, they’ll be ending the year with a banger comeback album and have a world tour!

As of writing, only 3 out of 7 members have enlisted. The remaining four are making sure their fans are well-fed with solo projects and endorsements. Suga even had his own solo world tour before enlisting in the military. The younger members are releasing albums, making rounds with special interviews and performances and going live on Weverse every now and then just to check on their beloved ARMY.

RJ, are you working hard or hardly working for money?

My bias is Jin and I won’t deny that I’ve been missing his presence so much especially now that his birthday is fast approaching (I’ve associated the month of December to him and V since I became a fan in 2020). He is set to discharge on June 12, 2024 – just in time for the group’s 11th anniversary the next day!

Now that I only have less than a year to prepare for his release day, my close ARMY friends and I decided to plan and save up funds for Jin’s possible solo releases – he might release a full or mini-album, star in a KDrama (he originally intended to become an actor) or even design more merch with BT21 RJ and Wootteo the Astronaut in mind.

Though I’ve been traveling locally this year, I haven’t gone on an international trip since 2020. I plan to go to South Korea soon with my fellow ARMY friends and having said that, I have to work harder and smarter in order to make my dream Borahae trip come true.

While chatting with a friend, we came up with the following plans:

Random Thoughts on Handling Money

If there’s one thing majority of humans in whichever part of the world realized when the global pandemic hit, it is the importance of taking good care of your health and spending money wisely.

More than two years ago, I remember that I had plans of traveling to provinces in the Philippines I’ve never been to. I also had the plan of reviving my travel blog and I can only do that if I sit and regain importance memories from these trips or better make new memories in trips and write about it as soon as possible just like how my hardworking friends do.

But… the pandemic happened.

How to Make the Most Out of Your Home Office

To say that the past years have taught us numerous things is an understatement. One of the things I learned and I honestly ardently approve of is the effectivity of working from home arrangements.

I have been working for more than a decade now and I detest going to work due to traffic. Let me tell you that the traffic situation in Metro Manila is legendary – in an uncomfortable way. Imagine wasting hours upon hours of your day stuck on the barely moving flow of vehicles. Those days, I’d daydream about working from home. Why waste your precious time stuck on a chaotic street?

5 Things New Homeowners Do That You Should Avoid

There are a lot of steps that go into buying a home, and with all those steps, come a lot of mistakes as well. Amidst the numerous steps and potential pitfalls involved in the complex process of buying a home, a property solicitor‘s expertise is invaluable in helping an individual to navigate these steps for a successful homebuying process.

First time buyers looking at properties such as those among the St Albert real estate should do plenty of research into multiple areas, like mortgage rates, location of the neighborhood, other home prices in the area, and much more.

If you’re looking to buy a home or some properties, the turnkey real estate companies are the best to go with. And if you are planning to buy and build your own home, I highly recommend you to use the Rocky Mountain Forest Products. And when looking for some reliable architects and designers to plan and build your own home, you can visit a good place like Archute for some best preferences.

Despite all of the research however, these homeowners will still make mistakes, which can easily be avoided if you know what they are, like not getting the right plumbers to fix leaks. Here are five mistakes new homeowners make that you should avoid.

Too Hot To Handle

“Ampetang!”

I woke up just in time for lunch last Friday. I travelled to Makati at 4PM to meet up with friends for dinner. I stayed in a coffee shop with the intention of working on online tasks as I wait for my pals to arrive. Ah, the perks of working at your own pace.

Lazy. Meh.

Lazy. Meh.

I seated on the table near the glass door because I had no choice. Typical Friday afternoon coffee shop scenario. I love the fact that there’s free wifi, but the unbearable heat caused by the sun just took a toll on me. Instead of focusing on blog-related tasks or PPT presentation, I end up chatting on Facebook ranting about the weather.

Bonding with friends over booze and ramen. Isn’t this how Friday nights are supposed to be spent?

Let There Be Love!

Christina Aguilera just released a simple yet heartfelt music video for the song ‘Let There Be Love’. The song automatically gives me good vibes! I don’t know why it took her so long to release it as a single, but better late than never!

Christina Aguilera is not the main point of this post, but I'm spreading the LOVE!

Christina Aguilera is not the main point of this post, but I’m spreading the LOVE!

Anyway, this post is not really about Christina Aguilera (although I am planning to write one soon). I want to write this quick post while I have the momentum to do so.

I feel happy and blessed with all the love and appreciation I’ve been receiving especially from my family. It feels great to get daily hugs from my mom and my brother. I know that my father is watching over us. I can also sense that he is proud of what we’ve become.

Dealing With Frustrations Productively

Why are you so lazy? Why are you so stubborn? Why are you frustrated?

I always put the blame on my zodiac sign every time someone points out how lazy turn out to be. I’d rather choose the word ‘Procrastinate’.

Time goes by so slowly for those who wait – Madonna, Hung Up

I always pinpoint my zodiac sign as the culprit on why I tend to procrastinate. I’ve been a bit unsatisfied the past few weeks because I feel like I haven’t done anything significant, yet I often impose too much pressure on myself to do better. Although I maintain a travel blog, there is a big misconception that I travel all the time and I rarely stay at home. That is not the case especially when I am in Metro Manila.

The reason on why I am feeling frustrated for months now has something to do with WAITING. No, I am not waiting for the love of my life (he’s on a year-long holiday break to whereverland). I am waiting for something important and this thing is stopping me from pursuing some of the things I’ve been planning to do.

On Waiting, Boredom and Lack of Inspiration

The other night, I met up with Ada to watch the new movie Suddenly It’s Magic. It’s been a long time since she last saw a Filipino film and this is a kilig movie. Most of the people watching were giggling everytime Marcus (Mario Maurer) does something sweet to Joey (Erich Gonzales).

Teleport Us to Mars! – Tammie Brown cartoon from http://heckyestammiebrown.tumblr.com

I enjoyed this movie because they were able to showcase some of the best spots in Ilocos Norte. We can’t help but calculate the travel time in every important scene toinks. I also enjoyed the scenes shot in Bangkok and Ayutthaya. I wasn’t able to explore Bangkok and Ayutthaya when I went to Thailand last February, and I am eager to go back.

But I can’t for now.

Random Thoughts on the 1st of September

It’s September. Virgos are about to turn a year older this month. I grew up with  two Virgos: My Mama Brenda and Lolo Peping. I also have some good friends and relatives who are celebrating their birthday this month. Want to know one common denominator about Virgos? They are good in handling money. Also, Taurus and Virgo are compatible as friends or lovers. #nowyouknow

Sto Nino Shrine (Romualdez Museum) in Tacloban City

It’s my mom’s birthday today and it’s not just an ordinary one – It’s her 50th Birthday. She finally reached the ‘Golden’ age. I turned 25 this year too. I really feel bad that I can’t be physically present with her now. I could’ve prepared something nice for her. She deserves a grandeur birthday celebration because she’s been working hard since she gave birth to her unica hija. She never really had a ‘vacation’. Being a mother is a full-time job especially if you have a Special Child with you. Sometimes, I feel guilty that I keep on traveling and moving while she’s stuck at work. I’m happy that she’s supportive of my ambition and she never stopped me from pursuing it. You cannot avoid the fact that she gets worried at times (all mothers are like that). I can’t wait to go back to the UK and spend more time with her and my Carlo. I miss my Carlo. I miss my baby big boy brother.
